ArtBreak: The Art of the Japanese Garden hero image

Join us for a special ArtBreak with horticulturalist Julia Adams from the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The program will explore the design of the Japanese Garden and its connections to Claude Monet, whose lifelong interest in Japanese art and aesthetics shaped the gardens at his home in Giverny and inspired some of his most iconic paintings.
As part of this program, guests will visit “Monet to Matisse: French Moderns 1850–1950,” presented by PNC Bank, where Monet’s work is presented alongside masterpieces by fellow modern artists.
Please note that this ArtBreak will be held in the “Monet to Matisse” exhibition, therefore attendees must purchase a ticket in order to participate.
