Four floors of hands-on exhibits and an IMAX Dome Theatre are all part of the fun of learning at McWane Science Center. Celebrating science and discovery, the exhibits include everything from dinosaurs to space travel.
At the McWane Science Center we want to ensure that all visitors have a wonderful experience with us. We offer a number of accommodations for visitors with physical and/or sensory challenges: All areas of McWane are accessible via ramps and/or elevators. Our IMAX theater offers descriptive audio services for visually impaired visitors at all films and all showtimes. A limited number of strollers and wheelchairs are available at no charge through our ticketing desk. We partner with Kulture City to ensure our sensory challenged visitors have a great experience. Sensory bags are available for check-out at our ticketing desk at no charge. The bags contain headphones, weighted lap pads, and fidget items. For those who just need a quiet moment to settle their nerves, we offer quiet spaces on every floor of McWane. We also have a designated sensory room on the first floor. Visitors who would like to access the sensory room just need to ask the security guard on the first floor. We also offer a social story online for those who need to prepare for their visit to McWane.
