BIRMINGHAM, AL (December 2, 2025) – The Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau (GBCVB) today announced a strategic partnership with Wunderfan, a cutting-edge fan engagement and rewards platform. The collaboration is designed to enhance the overall experience for thousands of fans visiting the city for the annual JLAB Birmingham Bowl.
The GBCVB is leveraging the Birmingham-based Wunderfan platform to offer a modern rewards program to all attendees and supporters engaging with the city during the college football bowl game. By participating, fans can turn their dedication into tangible rewards simply by enjoying the city’s premier event and surrounding activations.
Visitors who download the free Wunderfan app will be able to earn “Wunder” points for their engagement, which can include attending official bowl events, interacting with local partner content, and participating in unique in-app challenges. These points are redeemable for valuable rewards such as e-gift cards from major retailers, exclusive discounts, and official JLAB Birmingham Bowl merchandise and experiences.

The JLAB Birmingham Bowl is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., and will feature teams from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the American Conference (AAC) or the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The teams competing in the JLAB Birmingham Bowl will be announced on Sunday, December 7, 2025, following the conclusion of all conference championship games.
