BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (August 3, 2026) — Championship week has arrived as the Professional Softball League (PSL) brings its inaugural postseason to the Birmingham metropolitan area. The league’s top three teams will compete August 5–8 at Bill Roberts Stadium in Trussville to crown the first-ever PSL Champion. The week begins Tuesday evening with the inaugural PSL Awards Banquet before championship action starts Wednesday at 6:05 p.m. CT. All games will be nationally televised on AWSN.

● #3 Florida Vibe
The championship will follow a double-elimination format, with the title to be decided Saturday, Aug. 8. “After an incredible inaugural season, we’re excited to bring our championship to one of the nation’s great softball communities,” said Jeremy McDowell, board member of the Professional Softball League and president of the Kansas City Diamonds. “Our vision has always been to create more than just games. Championship Week celebrates the best athletes in professional softball while giving fans an unforgettable experience and showcasing what professional softball can become.” In addition to championship competition, fans can enjoy player appearances, youth activities and a festival atmosphere throughout the week. The PSL is also evaluating the Birmingham market as a potential future home for an expansion franchise, making this week’s event an important opportunity to demonstrate the region’s passion for professional softball.

Friday, Aug. 7 – 6:05 p.m. — Elimination Game
Saturday, Aug. 8 — Championship Game, 5:05 p.m. (If necessary) Championship Game, 7:35 p.m.
